This is a good sharing for me!
Clean everything, everyday will protect the health for your family.
Thanks
I have a couple I'll share, and I'll add others as I think of them.
One is a habit - I've gotten into the habit of doing a quick tidy of the house before I go to bed. I don't do any cleaning, dusting, anything like that, but if there is a stray glass or dish, it goes in the sink. DD's toys get dropped off in her room (not put away, just put on the floor by the toybox so she can do it when she's awake), anything that's out of place gets put back in it's place. The throw goes on the back of the chair, the couch pillow on the couch, that sort of thing. When we get up in the morning, things are more or less in order. It only takes about 5 minutes, and really helps me start the day on the right foot.
This is a tip one of the ladies shared over at PH a while back. She said that the best thing for cleaning mirrors is....furniture polish. Boy, is it ever! No streaking, it dries quickly, and after a time or two, there is a sort of 'coating' (that is not visible at all) that makes it really easy to spot-clean when needed. Furniture polish also works well on windows, though I did have a wee bit of streaking on a couple of windows when I used it. It was still a lot easier than windex or anything similar that I've tried.
This one is all mine. We live on a gravel road, so our screens get dusty. The easiest way I've found to clean them is to lay them down on concrete (bigger than the screen) and wet with water from the garden hose. Squirt a small amount of dish detergent (like dawn or joy, not the stuff for the dishwasher) on the wet screen and use the kitchen broom to 'sweep' the entire surface of the screen (gently). Turn the screen over and repeat, then stand it up and rinse it. I always rinse it somewhere else so I don't have to use so much soap (I do all the screens the same day, and the concrete gets pretty sudsy after a couple of them). Then lean it against a tree to dry, and then re-install. My broom is not the natural bristles, but the 'plastic' bristles that pretty much all those angled brooms have.
I'm eager to learn and use more tips and shortcuts to make cleaning easier and faster - so please share!

Perhaps we could get this pinned to the top so we can continue to add to it?
