I made this this morning, using a strawberry cake mix and cream soda. I dusted it with powdered sugar. It is delicious - light and moist!
Two Ingredient Cake
1 box of cake mix (any kind or flavor)
1 can pop (any flavor, regular or diet)
Put dry cake mix in mixing bowl, add a can of any soda and beat with a whisk until smooth. Add to greased cake pan (I used a spray) and bake as directed on package.

How about that! It came out good, even with no eggs or oil? That's pretty interesting!

I was surprised, too. I guess the mix has some grease in it because it sure wasn't dry. Belinda, Dan and I all tried it and we all liked it.
Next time, I think I'm going to try another flavor of cake, maybe lemon or vanilla, with Mountain Dew.

I just read this. Yesterday when I made a pop stop I found that Crush makes a pineapple soda thats delicious. I was goin to use some to make icing but this would be better. Wonder what rootbeer cake would be like.

That's what I think they do, Valerie.
Peggy, I've been thinking about trying root beer, but can't decide what kind of cake mix to use with it. I'm debating between yellow and lemon. I like a little lemon in my root beer, but I don't know if a lemon cake mix might be too much lemon.

I think I would do root beer with white cake so nothing interfered with the root beer flavor

I wonder how they'd work with homemade mixes. I have a carob cake mix made up. I might try that with some kind of pop and find out.

I just put it in the oven. I only had one can of Mountain Dew, so that's what I used.

It's done and we're all eating a small piece. It is a little rubbery, kind of like a cross between cake and brownies. Not bad, though.
The kids like it.
