This board is for sharing recipes and visiting with each other. As recipes are posted, I will copy them and file them in the cookbook, giving credit to the author whenever possible. The cookbook is 'read only', which means that only staff can post there. The reason for this is to keep the bandwidth low there, so it will hold more recipes and make them easy to find. Also, placing them in the cookbook will assure that they won't be deleted during regular forum pruning.
If you think there needs to be any other categories in the cookbook, please bring it to my attention.
Thank you~ Gayle 'Granny' Smith

I've been thinking of doing this for a while, since I can never remember where I saw a certain recipe on the web when I need it. This way we can all have our favorites in one place, where they are easy to find and print.

Whoohoo!! I like it. Especially since I didn't copy recipes from sites I can't go to anymore LOL...so now I need to get them again.

Kathy, I had Kitchen Talk in mind for people to post recipes, but your question makes me think I ought to put in another forum, especially for that.

Ok, I added another forum, especially for sharing recipes. Creatively enough, I called it "Share a Recipe".

What if I have questions about a recipe in the cookbook? Where do I ask? Specifically, the Poorman's jelly made with tomatoes. Do the tomato seeds get strained out? Does the mixture get strained like a regular jelly or is it more of a jam texture? How would you label it? Do you call it by the name of the jello?

Lacy, I left all the original threads for each recipe, except the ones I posted. (Mine were put directly into the cookbook.) I left them so people could discuss the recipe and ask questions. Here is the link to Poor Man's Jelly~ grandmaw.proboards40.com/index.cgi?board=share&action=display&thread=1204144001If you'd rather not look for the original thread, you could also ask in the Kitchen Talk forum. Hope that helps.
