I am making a ring sling for my niece who is expecting. I bought linen because it is recommended by "those who know". I've never used it before and was wondering if there were any tips or tricks you wish you had known the first time you used it.

Wash and machine dry it before you cut it out. It will most likely shrink.

I would double the fabric for your intended use I think - I never used or made a baby wrap made from linen, but thinking on the ones I DID use, I am not sure a single layer of linen would feel secure enough. Other than that though, I never had issues of any kind crafting and sewing with linen in general.

I thought I'd post a pic or two of the sling I made...

Thanks! It seemed to take freaking forever but was totally worth it. I even did it on the pocket I added to the tail.
