Just make sure you don't use poison ivy vines.

OMG, that would be bad! Not for me so much, but for other people. We have so much honeysuckle here, covering everything (it even choked out most of the wild blackberries at the edge of the woods!), I will probably use that and grape vines when I prune them in January.
Oh yeah, Ms. Norma went to this thing they have each year at the Chesser Island Homestead in the swamp. There was a lady doing a demo of weaving baskets from pinestraw. She's offering a class on it in February. Ms. Norma put her name and phone number on the list. I told her I'd really like to join her for that when the lady calls with more details.

Are you not allergic to poison ivy? I'm not so I am the one who gets to pull it in the yard.
When Jennifer and Jason were young, I used jute and yarn to make baskets.

I'm not allergic to it either. Fortunately, we don't get much of it here for me to deal with though. Dave pretty much whacks all weeds either with the mower or the weedeater, so I'm off the hook. We do have poison sumac, but I don't react to it, either. It is so beautiful in the fall!
