"The measles outbreak that started at Disneyland last month continues to spread, with at least 85 cases in seven states. Most measles cases are in California, where parents are allowed to choose not to have their children vaccinated." www.cbsnews.com/news/should-parents-be-allowed-to-choose-whether-to-vaccinate-their-kids/"Measles can be dangerous, especially for babies and young children. From 2001-2013, 28% of children younger than 5 years old who had measles had to be treated in the hospital" Well treated is not hospitalized. So how many were treated at a hospital because their parents couldn't afford a doctor visit? With Obamacare would it be as high? When I was a kid parents purposely exposed kids to contagious diseases. Sure we were in and out of doctor's offices. The thinking was get the kid immune as much as possible before starting school. Between the years 4 and 6 I had measles, mumps, chicken pox and whooping cough. Most kids did. Now we have immunity. Of course my parents also whipped me with switches and belts. They also made me work, go to church, eat vegetables, take baths, and say "Yes sir" and No ma'am" to adults. And if all that wasn't terrible enough, I wasn't allowed to hit girls. It was pretty tough growing up unloved.

I had the German measles , red measles and another kind they called the brown measles before I was 6. I also had the mumps, and whooping cough. Now that was a long time ago. If there was a vaccine for such then I do not know but such childhood diseases at that time were taken in their stride. But they were known to be extremely serious for adults. I think the main reason that though most children of my time had MMR , the reason it did not effect them seriously for the most part, was they played outside more and were not eternally sitting before the computers (which were NOT available in my tender youth). My husband insisted that our daughter be vaccinated before she was a year old. It was the year of bad vaccine, she got the red measles within 24 hours. suffer severe effects from the two vaccines she had -and carried a medical exemption to prevent taking the boosters. The DPT shot left her deathly allergic to tetanus vaccine.
The good the bad the ugly..... In vaccines/surgery, if we would take care of our selves ,our water, pollution, use common sense...we probably would not need vaccines. The only one I have ever had was small pox. Another year of bad vaccines , the booster they suggested when I was in my teens gave my cousin polio... she later required surgery to save her life from the dreadful effects.

We should make all children have a measles vaccination but not quarantine promiscuous individuals with the much more deadly AIDS virus.
That makes sense to a lot of people. Just not me.

just line up like good sheep - you know everything the govt mandates works exactly as advertised - it's just too bad the obama regime didn't have enough time to mandate an ebola inoculation before the panic wore down -
