I had some canning jars left in that back room that were subjected to some pretty cold temperatures. Down to zero. I figure the seals are compromised and it's stuff that's been canned for years, so I'm dumping the contents and washing the jars. I found one pint jar that had busted. So here's my question. Are the jars ok? or has the extreme temps compromised the strength of the glass?

I sure don't know. Maybe you could can some water, just to check? At least if they bust you won't lose any food.

We travel and move a lot with taking our jars with us. They have survived through frost and heat! Glass won't change its structure
