Liquid Laundry Soap contributed by chilipalmer
Got this from Scandiwoman on TOL, who got it from somewhere, I dunno where. I have no attention span.
Liquid Laundry Soap
1 bar soap 1 c. washing soda 1/2 c. borax water
Bring four cups of water to just-before boiling. Remove from heat, grate in your bar of soap. Stir until dissolved completely.
In a five gallon bucket, pour three gallons of hot water. Add dissolved soap liquid, washing soda and borax. Stir well with long-handled wooden spoon and allow to cool overnight.
(On TOL, this was quoted as being about three cents per load. CHEEP, yay!)
