-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This is a recipe that you can use your dehydrated corn.
1-1/2 c. dried corn 2 (13-3/4 oz.) cans chicken brother 6 slices bacon, diced 2 c. chopped onion 4 c. milk 2 t. sugar 1/2 t. salt 1/8 t. pepper
Rinse dried corn. Combine corn and chicken broth in large saucepan; bring to a boil. Remove from heat and let stand 2 hours. Heat to simmering; cover and cook 45 minutes.
Meanwhile, cook bacon in small skillet until crisp. Drain on paper towels. Saute onion in bacon drippings until soft. Add to corn mixture and simmer 5 minutes. Add milk, sugar, salt and pepper, and heat thoroughly. Serve garnished with bacon.
Makes 2-1/2 quarts.
