Cranberry Chutney
1 lb. fresh or frozen cranberries 1/2-1 cup raisins 1 cup water 4 T. (1/4 cup) vinegar, white or apple cider 1 t. cinnamon 1 t. ginger 1/4 t. allspice 1/8 t. cloves 1/2 cup granulated sugar 3/4 cup brown sugar
Bring cranberries, raisins, water, and vinegar to a boil. Add remaining ingredients and cook until thickened, about 10 minutes. Serve warm or chilled.
variation: If you'd like to add apples, peel and dice 2 large or 4 small apples and add with the other fruit. Increase vinegar to 6 tablespoons (1/3 cup). Cook until apples are tender and continue with recipe. All other measurements remain the same.

I'm goin to try this. I have a bag of cranberries that I keep moving around in the freezer to get them out of my way. It sounds good.
