I checked in the cookbook and saw that Sheila had already posted a recipe for broccoli salad (looks great, Sheila!). However, this one is just a little different than hers, so I decided to post mine as well. I made this 3 times over the past month for a baby shower and 2 church dinners. Every time it was very well received, so I hope you all like it too.
Broccoli Salad II
4 c. broccoli florets, broken 1 lb. bacon, cooked and crumbled 1/2 c. chopped red onion 1/2 c. raisins 1/4 c. sunflower seeds 1 c. mayonnaise 1/2 c. white sugar 6 T. red wine vinegar
In a large bowl, toss together the broccoli, bacon, onion, raisins and sunflower seeds.
In a small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, sugar and red wine vinegar. Pour over vegetables and toss to coat. Chill until serving.
