Thanks, Doris! I love to crochet ornaments. I forgot about freepatterns.com. I've used them before and they are great. That would be a nice addition to my spaghetti supper bags I'm planning on doing.

I sent the pattern to my sister a couple of years ago and she made them for everyone in the family, including me. I don't crochet, so it's a sneaky way to get something nice made for me. She said they were very quick to make.
She also sold some, enough to pay for all of her materials and a little extra.

LOL Val..... I make one of those Christmas ball in 30 minutes. This year I have made 34.50 Euros selling 16 of them (I made 8 little ones for 1.5, plus 8 little ones for 2.50 a piece) ... the fun thing is, since it goes for a good cause the lady bought the balls, and I get to sell them back to her for the regular price.... Next year I want to have a "crafts party" so I will make some and sell them for my business

I used to crochet a lot when the kids were small (it's portable and easy to stop and start!) and I made a whole bunch of snow flakes that were stiffened while pinned to a piece of foam. I gave most of them away, but still have a couple, and they're still holding up! I made a couple of bells a few years ago, and had a fit trying to find a foam bell to use for a form to stiffen them! Wound up buying an entire kit of 12 bells with sequins and pins, just to get me a foam bell. The stores had them, but not the right size.
I'm so glad you posted this, because I wondered what I was going to do with myself when Dave starts working his new job. He'll be working 7 days a week, 7-3 on weekends.

I don't have the patience to crochet but this looks like something I might give a go!

Sheree, it only takes like 30 minutes to make one....its really quick. I know what you mean about patience. I feel the same way about knitting. It bores me to tears....

Hi Sheree!!!!!!
As for the crocheting, I've been too bitten by the knitting bug.

I am. I'm working on a lap robe. I've finally started to get quicker at it. Though I added a stitch somewhere and had to rip out 5 rows the other evening.
