This is something I whipped up last night to go with supper.
1 20 oz can of crushed pineapple in juice 1/4 Cup raisins or chopped dates 1/4 Cup chopped walnuts 2 Tbsp brown sugar 1/2 tsp ginger 1/2 tsp cinnamon 1/2 tsp nutmeg dash of salt 1-2 Tbsp corn starch mixed in a little bit of cold water
Put pineapple, juice and all, in a small saucepan; add next 7 ingredients. Cook over medium heat until hot and bubbly, stirring occasionally. Add corn starch and water and heat until thickened. Serve warm. Good with whipped cream on top.
