Yeast bread dough equal to one loaf 1/4 Cup (half stick) butter 2 -3 cloves garlic 1/2 - 1 Cup mozzarella cheese Parmesan Cheese (optional)
Make your favorite white bread recipe. This uses enough bread dough for one loaf.
If you have a large, like 12" round pan, use that. Otherwise, use 2 8" round cake pans.
Melt 1/2 stick (1/4 Cup) butter in a small saucepan, over low heat. Peel but don't chop 2 or 3 cloves of garlic. Let them warm in the butter until it's fragrant (you will be salivating at this point) but don't let the garlic brown.
Remove the garlic from the butter and discard (or whatever you want to do with it.) Pour half of the garlic butter into each pan.
After having punched down the bread dough after it's first rise, let it rest while you make the garlic butter. Divide it in half. Flatten each half roughly into a disk, put in it's baking pan with butter, and use your fingertips to squish it into the butter and press it out to the edges of the pan.
Top with about 1/4 or 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese. If you have real parmesan cheese, add a little of that, too. Let it rise for about 20 minutes.
Bake at 325 for about 20 - 25 minutes, or until the edges are browned and the cheese is browned. Cheese might still be melty in the middle.

I think I'm going to make this tomorrow night to have with lasagna. I've been wanting something special to do with that parmesan I've been guarding from the kids.
