docs.google.com/?hl=en&tab=wo&authuser=0#homeHave you seen this?!!! It does everything Microsoft Office does, plus more, plus the files are stored online, so you don't have to worry about finding them, losing them, or putting on a flash drive to carry with you! Might great for y'all who still have kids schooling. Especially if they want to collaborate with other kids on a project. Pretty awesome!

I use Google Docs A LOT - for more things than I can list here. There's also a function where you can share documents with others - they can edit or just view. I've had no problem with that function with some people, but others tell me it won't work for them.
Just don't put anything up there you don't want anyone else knowing..."Private" doesn't quite mean the same thing it used to

I thought about the kids over at school when I saw this, Sandra. The 5th and 6th grade kids work on projects a lot, in groups. They have trouble getting together to work on them. Then they have problems with finding them again after they save them. And nobody has a flash drive, so they use the teacher's. This would be great for them. I'm glad to hear from another real person that it works well.

tinyurl.com/64u7g7yI think this link will work. Man, I wish I'd had this when I was wanting to do spreadsheets and forms and Office wouldn't work! Never did figure out why, so I deleted it. Thanks, Valerie. I'm making this a sticky.

I can get in by simply typing docs.google.com in the address bar. You do have to have a google account, but they're free.

Oh, look, I did it. I have no idea how. Sandra, to post a link here, all you have to do is copy it and paste it in your post. That's it.
