This 'ice cream' is super-fast, super-simple, sugar-free, fat-free, dairy-free, and it only has ONE ingredient, but don't let that put you off because it's delicious!
One-Ingredient Ice Cream
Using bananas that are dead ripe (even a little past their prime), peel, place in ziplock, freeze.
Break bananas into chunks and place in food processor or blender, a few at a time, blending well after each addition (a little water may be added to precipitate blending). Continue beating 3-4 minutes or until mixture is silky smooth.
Eat.
Next time, try adding honey, chocolate syrup, maple syrup, peanut butter, flavored extracts, or additional frozen fruits. Go to town.

I never thought of doing it in the juicer. I'll have to experiment with that.

I had some bananas I needed to use, so I made this today, but with a twist. Instead of slicing the bananas, I shredded them on a box grater, drizzled the piles with a little lemon juice (to prevent browning) and froze them on a tray. If I wasn't going to use them right away, I would have broken them up and stored them in a ziplock, but I made the whole trayfull into ice cream. From 6 bananas, I ended up with a quart. I really like how fast the bananas froze. I'll use this method from now on.
