I have a white dress that had stains all over the front. The one on the belly was from spaghetti sauce popping on me when I was making it, but I didn't know what the big stain near the hem was from. It looked like a big rust stain, the size of a dinner plate, but we don't have iron in our water. I'd tried everything to get those stains out, Spray 'N Wash, adding bleach to the washer, Oxyclean, pouring bleach directly on the stain, even lemon juice. Nothing would touch them. I tried to find Whink, the rust remover, but couldn't find it anywhere. Jennifer told me that Walmart had it, but I couldn't find it, even with her directions, so she brought me a bottle. They changed the bottle, that's why I couldn't find it. Anyway, I squirted some Whink on those stains and washed the dress. They all came out. Thanks, Jennifer!

Laura, here's the link to their site~ www.whink.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=cEcommerce.Product&ProductID=4328&CategoryID=-1I've used Whink to remove rust for many years (It works instantly, just by squirting it on), but it also removes mystery stains, even those that have been washed and dried repeatedly. It doesn't just work on laundry. I've used it to remove rust stains from my washer, the toilet, tub, sink, and many other surfaces. I sound like a commercial. 'Buy Whink in the familiar brown bottle'. LOL

Hey, can you use it on colored fabric? I'm notorious for getting grease on my clothes. Think it would work on that?

Valerie, I don't think it's for colored fabrics. Also, it's for taking out rust (it works good on socks that are stained with that Georgia clay). I don't think it would take out grease.
I use Spray 'N Wash with Resolve for that. It even takes out old machine oil stains from Dan's work clothes. I spray them, let them sit for 10 minutes or so, then throw them in the washer. The oily stain almost always comes out. That's the only thing I've found that will take those stains out. Some had been in the clothes for years.
