4 3/4 - 5 1/4 cups plus 1 Tbls. all purpose flour 1/3 cup sugar 2 packs of rapid rise yeast 1 1/2 teaspoons salt 3/4 cup each;milk and water 1/4 cup margarine 1 egg; slightly beaten
In a large bowl, combine 3 cups flour, sugar, yeast and salt. Heat milk, water and margarine to 120-130 degrees. Stir into dry ingredients. Mix in egg and enough flour to make a soft dough. Knead on a floured surface about 7-8 minutes.Cover and let rest for 10 minutes. Pinch off balls into equal parts and place on a greased cookie sheet. For electric ovens, turn on oven to 200 degrees for 1 minute. Turn off and put rolls in oven for 20 minutes. If you have a gas oven, the pilot light is enough to rise the dough. Bake @ 400 degrees for 15 nimutes or until golden brown.
