I don't know what I do different, but my yoghurt always comes out thick. I don't even have to drain off any liquid. Maybe it's because I let it incubate a long time, at least overnight.
I've bought Greek yoghurt to see what all the fuss is about and it's actually thinner than mine.

Wow, yours must be super thick. I love Greek yogurt.
Sounds like a good recipe. Something she said would explain why my homemade yogurt is kind of thin and tart. Too much starter!

I buy greek yogurt all the time i like it better not so sweet as others,and real think.

I've found that if I use milk from my local dairy the yogurt is thicker than if I use a brand from a store.

I was just thinking a couple days ago that I'm going back to making our yogurt again. I can get a gallon of milk for just under $2. If we can find a quart of yogurt for under a $1 we get all happy about it, but that really doesn't make any sense when I could make that much for half that price and avoid at least some of the weird stuff they put into it.
