I was going to try this one time. I picked up a whole bunch of acorns and started shelling. After an hour, I had a scant 1/2 cup of acorn meats. I decided that other parts of the country must have way bigger acorns than us. A good-sized acorn here is about the size of my thumb nail (and I bite).
