We knew a guy who made his own until his health got bad and he couldn't handle the heavy drums any more. He ran both his and his wife's cars on it (they both had diesel Volvo's). He said really it was simple, just heavy lifting and heat made it hard for him.
Another friend of ours bought an old diesel truck specifically to run it on biodiesel. He ran a restaurant and I think he thought he'd cook his own from the used grease. He never did buy the conversion kit for the truck, though.
PS - Hey, that's cool! You can make soap with the glycerin byproduct!
