I can't remember who makes and cans their dog food. ?Meemo? I have an excess of eggs and was thinking of mixing them with rice, shell and all. How do you make your dog food?

I've tried to read up on it and The info seems to be all over the place. Cook it, don't cook it, be sure to add veggies, never add veggies, but be sure you have all the nutrition needed!
I'm thinking Rice for carbs, eggs for protien, calcium and vitamin d. I'll add some lard to the rice for fat. That covers it doesn't it??

Add veggies. They need it. Dogs are omnivores, not strict carnivores. I use dried mostly that need to be eaten and are getting a bit on the old side. Nettles, spinach, carrots, peas, potatoes, sweet potatoes, squash, about anything except onions.

I cook the bones with meat on them after we have a turkey or chicken. There is always bits of meat to come off of those bones. Then I add whatever veggies I have like peas, carrots. I put the meat with broth in canning jars and add a scoop of rice. Seal and pressure can. The broth remains a little thin, but that's ok. I usually mix it with dry dog food. I've never tried putting egg in. Oh, and I take the bones out before I can it.
Kim, how do you make dogfood bread? That might be a good thing to know if dry dog food gets too expensive.
