What are your Halloween plans?

We do "spooky" foods every year. This year we are having...

"soured" milk and Eye balls for breakfast (powdered donuts with a gummy iris and mnm pupil)

Lunch were puppy legs wrapped in skin (hotdogs in a blanket) and fried spider legs (cheese sticks)

Snack will be bloody band aids (graham crackers with a cream cheese "absorbent pad" and red icing) along with scabs (dried cranberries)

For dinner we will be dining on bat wings with a bloody dipping sauce (buffalo wings and died ranch dressing), "head cheese" (I sculpted a cheese ball into a brain) surrounded with mold and worms (think haystacks gone wrong, lol) potato ghosts and butter beer with floating iced "hands"

Tonight after dinner and a graveyard "scavenger hunt" with the youth group we will watch a goosebumps movie as a family.

Hmmm....not sure about some of your menu plans, but I guess if you have fun that's what counts! I used to do similar things when my kids were young. Today I played cards with all the neighborhood ladies at one of the neighbor's lake cabin. I dressed up as a witch (a "good witch" of course!) and gave treats to everyone. I was going to go around the neighborhood this evening and deliver treats, but I didn't have to because everyone was at the card party. We never have trick or treaters out here in the boonies. It's a quiet evening here with just Harold and I.

We grabbed a few bags of candy in town today, just in case. We wound up with about 15 trick-or-treaters and there's just enough candy left to keep Becky happy.

I think a card party sounds great! What fun!

We have to much left over candy, come on over Cookin' and you can have it!

We're out in the boonies and have no neighbors, so no trick-or-treaters. I forgot it was Halloween until about 11 pm!
