MAKE SURE you buy FIRE BRICKS, or RED CLAY BRICKS and NOT CEMENT ones. The cement ones have "air pockets" which, during prolonged use, can overheat and EXPLODE!
Note: You can also use adobe bricks which you make yourself.
If the stove smokes, add another course of brick for a higher chimney to improve efficiency.

I commented about this one on your other thread.
Boy am I glad you said that about the cement bricks! That's exactly what I would have gotten! Hey, you know how newer bricks have those three holes in the middle? Will they still work? I haven't seen a solid brick in forever!

Val, I don't know why they wouldn't work. You might dribble a little sand in the holes if you want, but probably isn't necessary.
