OK my Basset hound has Dermatitis pretty bad, from what iv'e read that is something basset hounds suffer from frequently well the medication at the Vet can be costly is there some sort of natural remedy to give my little buddy some relief I already use corn starch or foot powder under his front legs sense he sweats there so bad and it gets redish.

You might switch his diet to something with no corn or soy and see if that helps. Dermatitis is usually from an allergy.

Our bulldog had it really bad before he came to live with us. My in-laws had him on table scraps, dry food, wet food and those frozen dog treats (??). We switched him to just plain dry food and saw improvement, but when we switched to home cooked dog food it went away completely. Of course, he died 4 months later... probably pined away for those frozen dog treats...

LOL, M! You know Schwan's sells ice cream for dogs? It is lactose free and has beef-flavored swirl!
