The chicks are now about 5 weeks by our guess, Anna is about 5 to 7 days behind the other 3. It's getting warmer so we've had times to cut the heat off and their heat lamp. Today we had a light on in that side of the room so they weren't sitting in the dark. Mike just turned the heater on part way in front of their cage, but not the heat lamp and turned the other light off. They pitched a fit at being in the dark, then settled down to roost. So are they old enough to be weaned off of that light? Our weather is showing one or two cold nights coming later this week with that front that's coming through. One night is supposed to get down to 36 and the next night in the 40's. Then the temps will go back up again.

Try to keep the temps above 60 in their space since there aren't enough of them to stay warm otherwise.

I turn the light on when temps drop below 60 until they have all their feathers.
