We just ordered this from Amazon.com. It totalled about half what the lumber to build one was totally up. It's not perfect and we already see things we'll amend on it, but it looked like the best deal with a good amount of run room. www.amazon.com/Large-Deluxe-Backyard-Rabbit-Chicken/dp/B00AMRWT1E/ref=pd_sim_sbs_lg_7It doesn't have nesting boxes, we'll fix that and we'll need covers for doors and window in bad weather. It also doesn't have a roosting bar. All are things we can deal with. So tell me what ya'll think. Susan

looks interesting in the pics - but, when it comes to packaging it for least expensive shipping, i'd be surprised if there wasn't a WHOLE LOT of "easy assembly" involved - you just might end up with a pile of pre-cut lumber and other material -
good luck -

Looks good. I'd add wheels and a divider in the middle. One side for boy bunnies and one for girl.

We're using it for chickens, no bunnies. We do plan to put some support pieces across the top of the runs because we fully expect cats to lay on top and droll on those poor girls.

I like it. It does look like it would be easy to move around like a tractor, too, especially if it really does only weigh 35 lb. I couldn't tell what kind of mesh it has on it, but if it's not hardware cloth, I'd reinforce it with that, especially if you have neighbor dogs running around. A way to keep varmints from diggin in from the outside would be good too. (I like a Fort Knox type chicken coop )

Val, on some of the pictures you can zoom in for a closer look. It does look like hardware cloth, although that's not what they call it. We're figuring on reinforcing the bottom so nothing can dig under it and also so it won't get blown in the wind. We're going to put it inside the old dog pen that has 4ft fencing around it to help keep out any stray dogs.

Sounds like a plan, Susan! Can't wait to see pics of your girls in their new home!

It's still empty. And the girls are getting so big they are getting crabby at times. Mike has been clearing all of the raspberries out of that area and pulled down the rotted underpinning. Since the truck isn't running it's hard to get out and get what we need to finish that area. Wayne said this morning that he may be able to get some metal from where he works that may be enough to cover all of it. That would be great if he can. Mike has to rebuild the gate too. We've had such a problem in the past of dogs coming through that attack our outside cats and kill kittens, we want this area to be as secure as possible. I'm also going to use part of that area for extra garden space. Susan
