Unlike Google and other popular search engines, this one doesn't track your IP or keep any of your information, so you are, essentially, searching anonymously. It also lets you make specific searches of images, maps, news, youtube, twitter, facebook, amazon and more. duckduckgo.com/

There's another one that Becky's FIL uses, that claims to keep you safe from gov't surveillance. It's startpage.com/I don't use it much, though, because I find that when I'm doing research for school, I have a hard time finding what I need.

Did you notice that startpage is enhanced by Google? Makes ya wonder...

I did see that. I was wondering how it could piggyback off Google without giving up your privacy.

I was just reading on that Duckduckgo website. I like it. A lot. I installed the add-on to my firefox. Plus you get that cute little ducky up there in the search bar.

I didn't know Firefox had an add-on for it already! I'll have to get it later today. I've been keeping a tab open for it. Thanks for the heads-up!

If you go on that link right under the search bar that says something about more info or something like that, it takes you to another page that explains what they do (this is on duckduckgo) and there's a link to add it to your browser.

I found a button at the bottom of the page that lets you add it to Mozilla right from the search page. It took about 2 minutes to put it in my browser. I don't know how they did it, but it installed above Google so it's right at the top of my list.

I saw the interview on TV. That's how I knew about it.
