1 med cabbage shredded fine 1 med onion sliced thin 1 cup sugar 1 cup cider vinegar 3/4 cups salad oil 1 tsp each of salt , celery seed and dry mustard (don't tell)
Put cabbage and onion in a large bowl and mix well with 3/4 cups oil.
Now the trick bring to a boil sugar, cider vinegar, and salt , celery seed and dry mustard. Pour over the cabbage and onion with the oil while its hot.
Cover and let stand for about 3-4 hours .. besure to mix well.. Enjoy this Easy slaw stays well in the refrigerator my max was 2 weeks. Great for Spring or Summer.
