Shelby, you'll love Colorado but not the land prices. I am so happy to be back in Colorado again ... even if it is in the city. We're beginning to find that out. we were out there for about 4 months back in 2006, (at least the kids and I were, DH was there for 8 months) We loved it, I couldn't believe the way the school system was, they were actually concerned about the kids and kept the parents involved, not like the school their in now, it's like pulling teeth to talk to a teacher. We are looking around the Grand Junction area, as that is where DH is working now.

Hello everyone! My name is Patricia and I have been married to John for 17 years. Currently we live in Punxsutawney, PA (hello from Phil!), but Dh is a minister so we get moved around every few years.
We don't have any children as I am an ovarian cancer survivor, but I'm happy to still be kickin'. We do have a 2 year old yellow lab that I treat like a baby. Dh says I do everything except sit him in a highchair and put a bib on him.
I love trying out new recipes. I tried gardening a few times, but failed miserably. Thankfully, alot of the church people share their gardens with us.
I love studying history and visiting historic sites. So far we have been to Gettysburg, The Lizzie Borden House, Salem and saw the Titanic exhibit.
So happy to be here and I look forward to knowing all of you.

Welcome to the forum, Patricia! We already have something in common, other than cooking. I love history! I, particularly, love food history and study many of the ancient ways of cooking. I found something you might be interested in, but it's a little pricey. After all, it's custom made. store.dogologie.com/dogologie/product.asp?s_id=0&pf_id=PAOHIDKKGKGNNMFK

Hi Heather! Hi Violets! violets-Wow! You are an adoptive mom to 6! Congrats to you. My Dh and I looked into adoption, but we were told the waiting list was so long and chances were not good that we would ever receive a baby, so I am amazed! I'm very happy for you
