Buttermilk Dressing contributed by gayla
1/2 c. mayonnaise 1/2 c. butter milk 1 tbsp. cider vinegar 1 tsp. dried parsley 1 tsp. dried chives 1 small clove garlic, minced 1 tsp. mustard 1/2 tsp. onion powder 1/4 tsp. salt
Put mayonnaise and buttermilk in jar with tight fitting lid. Shake until smooth. Add remaining ingredients and shake again until well combined. Refrigerate unused portion.
makes 1 cup.
Note: Don't have buttermilk on hand? Measure out 1/2 c. regular milk add 1 1/2 tsp. vinegar or lemon juice. Allow to sit on counter for 10 min. or until curdled.
