Ham with Red Eye Gravy contributed by gayla
6 slices country ham 1/4-inch thick 1/4 cup margarine 1/4 cup brown sugar firmly packed 1/2 cup strong black coffee
Saute ham in margarine over low heat until light brown, turning several times. Remove ham from skillet and cover with foil to keep warm. Stir sugar into pan drippings and heat until sugar dissolves, stirring constantly. Add coffee and simmer 5 minutes. Season gravy to taste. Serve over ham slices.
