3/4 C. chopped onion 3 T. butter 1-1/2 C. chopped celery 1-1/2 C. ketchup 3/4 C. water 1/3 C. lemon juice 3 T. brown sugar 3 T. vinegar 1 T. Worcestershire sauce 1 T. yellow mustard 2 packages Hot Dogs 16 hot dog buns, split
In a saucepan over medium heat, saute onion in butter until tender. Add celery, ketchup, water, lemon juice, sugar, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce and mustard; bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 30 minutes. Cut three 1/4 inch deep slits on each side of hot ddogs; place in a 2-1/2 quart baking ish. Pour the sauce over the hot dogs. Cover and bake at 350°F. for 40-45 minutes or until heated through
