One more barbecue sauce to add to the pile. I made this last night and it was really good! It's a thick red sauce, with some sweet and some heat.
2 cloves garlic, minced 3 Tablespoons olive oil
Heat oil on medium heat. Let garlic heat in it until just starting to brown.
1 Cup ketchup 1/4 Cup water 1/4 Cup vinegar 1/4 Cup brown sugar 2 Tablespoons paprika 1 Tablespoon chili powder 1 Teaspoon cayenne pepper
Add remaining ingredients to garlic and oil and let simmer for about 15 minutes, or until thickened. Adjust heat by adjusting cayenne pepper. * I used 1/8 teaspoon of cayenne and it was plenty spicy for us.

Oh, I just whipped up a batch of this using Gayle's ketchup for the base. OMG, it's even better than when made from store ketchup! Tasty!
Oh yeah, I was out of fresh garlic, so I used 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder instead and left out the olive oil.
