Cracker Jack Granola
My kids say this is the best granola ever.
10 cups oats 1 1/2 cups raw peanuts, chopped 1 cup brown sugar 1 t. salt 1 cup butter, melted (I used salted) 1 cup simple syrup or corn syrup 1 t. vanilla
Mix dry ingredients in large bowl. Mix liquid ingredients in medium bowl. Pour liquid mixture over dry mixture and stir until all dry ingredients are evenly moistened.
Spread mixture onto 1 or 2 well-greased baking sheets and bake about an hour at 350, stirring every 15 minutes. It is done when it is all evenly brown. Cool completely and store in an airtight container.
Makes about 12 cups or 24 servings.

I like this. It doesn't call for $20 worth of seeds and nuts. Think I could cut the sugar in half?

You could. I actually doubled it to make it sweeter for the kids. If you cut back on the sugar, you'll also need to cut back on the salt, since I added extra to compensate for the extra sugar.
