I found this listed as a breakfast recipe. I didn't really understand why until I tried it.
* 1⁄2 c sugar * 1 c brown sugar, packed * 1 1⁄2 c bisquick * 1 T vanilla * 4 eggs * 4 T butter or margarine (melted) * 1 1⁄3 c evaporated milk * 4 c peach slices or berries * 2 t cinnamon
Instructions
Spray crock pot with non-stick cooking spray. Combine sugars and the bisquick. Stir in eggs & vanilla. Blend in the melted butter and milk. Add peaches & Cinnamon. Pour into crockpot and cook on low for 6-8 hours. Be sure to stir it up a bit before dishing out.
The original writer says canned peaches work better than fresh. I used sliced peaches frozen in sugar - worked fine. Also, I substituted 1-1/2 c AP flour + 1-1/2 tsp baking powder for the bisquick.

Can you imagine waking up to a crockpot of this in the morning?! I do believe we may "need" some of this next week one day. I have peaches in my freezer I was wondering what to do with. Since substituting AP flour + baking powder for the bisquick works, I would imagine using SR flour would work just as well.
Sandra, how much did it make?

I think I did it in a 5-qt model (I'm not convinced it actually holds that much, tho...) and it was half full when it was finished.

I forgot I didn't have evaporated milk, but now I do, and the custard is in the crockpot! I used a bag of peaches I had frozen about 5 years ago. I wasn't sure if they'd still be good, but I tasted one, and they tasted just picked!

Well, I like it. I might have cooked it too long, though. Dave has to go by texture more than taste, and he didn't like the texture, so I get to eat it all.

Well, I guess that worked out for you LOL
To me, it was like French toast without the bread.
I read that some people who make it overnight actually put it in the crockpot and set a timer for it to start. Personally, I'd feel iffy about the milk & eggs sitting there over night. And I just can't make myself get up at 2 AM to start breakfast, even if I did go back to bed.
