Make a pot of coffee (I make 12 cups)
Pour the pot of coffee into a heat-proof half-gallon pitcher.
Add 1 cup of sugar and a couple teaspoons of vanilla. Stir.
Fill pitcher the rest of the way with milk. Stir.
Serve chilled over ice.
Tastes like the stuff you get in the bottle, only fresher.

Or pour it over ice in a blender andhave a lucious frappe.

Do not tell my kids about frappes! They already sucked up 2 pitchers of this stuff today. I don't want to encourage them!

I would rather have that than ice cream. Yummy stuff. I have to make it with instant decaf coffee because my grandson loves it.

I make this by the glass in the summer...but I never (duh!) thought about adding vanilla. Tasty.

Jennifer picked up Jake today and I fixed her a Yoohoo bottle full of iced coffee to take with her. She said it tasted like Frappuccino.

Can y'all drink it slow? Anytime I have tried to sip a frappuccino, I couldn't. There's just something about it that makes it want to go down fast.

I'm with you, Valerie. That's one of those things you just have to guzzle, like chocolate milk.

Well, I broke down today and made the kids a frappe. Of course they loved it. I ended up making 2 blenders full and they drank every drop.

Thanks Gayle. I'm definitely going to make this one. Dillon, Caitlin and I love Starbucks bottled Frappes but don't spend the big $$ to buy them.

I used Starbucks vanilla syrup instead of vanilla extract in mine. It is delicious!

I haven't had Starbuck's vanilla syrup, but I make vanilla syrup. I just add vanilla to simple syrup. Would that be the same?
edited to add: I use the vanilla syrup on pancakes, ice cream, and in mint tea.
