Pumpkin Pie Cake contributed by riverwalk
MIX WELL: 4 eggs 1 large can Pumpkin (not pie filling) 1 1/2 Cups Sugar 1 tsp. Salt 2 tsp. Cinnamon 1 tsp. Ginger 1/2 tsp. ground Cloves 1 (12 oz.) can Evaporated Milk.
Pour into greased 9 X 13" pan... then sprinkle over the top1 yellow cake mix (dry!!) and 1 1/2 Cups chopped Walnuts---
Then drizzle over all 1& 1/2 Cups (3 cubes) melted butter. Bake at 350 for 1 & 1/2 hours. So good! This is good with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream!

I just wanted to share that if you don't read the directions on this cake until it's too late (because you need a cake-cake to put icing on for a little boy's birthday) and then you mix the cake mix INTO the custard... ...you still get a very nice, high rising pumpkin cake. The birthday boy had requested pumpkin cake with chocolate icing. The cake was moist and lovely enough it didn't need icing at all, but the fudge icing worked, too.
