Apple Cranberry Crumble contributed by carla
1 (12 oz.) pkg. fresh cranberries, rinsed and drained 4 Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored and coarsely chopped 1-1/2 c. sugar, divided 1-1/4 sticks unsalted butter, chilled and cut into small pieces 1 c. flour 1-1/4 c. sliced almonds, divided
Preheat oven to 375F. Grease 3-qt. baking pan. In prepared baking pan, combine cranberries, apples and 3/4 c. of the sugar. Toss to combine and spread evenly.
In food processor, combine butter, flour, remaining 3/4 c. sugar, and 1/4 c. of the almonds. Process until small clumps form. Transfer to large bowl and gently mix in remaining 1 c. almonds, keeping dough in small clumps. Cover cranberry mixture with dough. Bake about 50 minutes or until browned. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream.
