Caramel Frosting
1 cup brown sugar 1/2 cup white sugar 1/3 cup milk 1/4 cup margarine 1 Tbsp.white corn syrup 1/4 tsp. salt 1 tsp. vanilla
Combine all ingredients except vanilla. Bring to a full, rolling boil. Boil one minute, add vanilla. Remove from stove and beat with mixer until at spreading consistency. (This will take at least half an hour, so you might want to transfer it to a bowl and use a stand mixer) If gets too hard, add a little more milk.
