Regal Chocolate Sauce contributed by carla
Makes about 1 cup
2 squares Baker's unsweetened chocolate 1/3 c. water 1/2 c. sugar 3 T. margarine or butter 1/4 t. vanilla
Heat chocolate and water on low; stir until chocolate is completely melted and mixture is smooth. Add sugar; bring to a boil. Boil for 2 to 3 minutes or until slightly thickened, stirring constantly. Remove from heat; stir in margarine and vanilla.
Variations:
Orange-Chocolate Sauce: Prepare sauce as directed, substituting 1 T. orange liqueur for the vanilla.
Almond-Chocolate Sauce: Prepare as directed, substituting 1 T. almond liqueur for the vanilla.
Mocha Sauce: Prepare as directed, adding 1 to 2 T. instant coffee with sugar.
Cinnamon-Chocolate Sauce: Prepare as directed, adding 1/2 t. cinnamon with sugar.
