1/2 sitck butter melted
1 cup light brown sugar
2 eggs beaten
1 cup chopped nuts
1 teaspoon vanilla
cream butter and brown sugar together well. Add beaten eggs to sugar and butter mixture . Add the nuts and vanilla mix well. Pour
into pie shelll . bake at 350 for 30 minutes . I always double the recipe this makes 2 pies and freezes and keeps well

I made one of these this morning. When it was almost done baking, I realized that I was having company today, so I made another one. Nick and I just tried the first one and, if the company doesn't show up, we decided that nobody will ever know there was a second pie. This is so good! Thank you for the recipe, Gayla.

This is so weird to come across this. I was thinking last night that I'd like to make a pecan pie but I dont have the syrup. I mean a walnut pie. I have a bunch of walnuts that I need to use up. I'm making one of these for dinner tomorrow.

got it from my MIL who passed in 1983 she got from her Granny who passed in the 30's so it an old recipe .. but it a goodie
