What an awesome way to stretch ground beef, especially since I had a really good onion harvest this year. Thank you for the recipe. I am definitely going to put this on our menu rotation....probably with some barbecue sauce or something to hold it together a little bit.

Laura, you can add all sorts of things to the basic recipe to change it up. I've added sweet peppers, hot peppers, ketchup, worcestershire sauce, bbq sauce, bacon (as I mentioned before), cheese sauce, relish, and lots of other things. It's hard to mess it up. I've served it on buns, bread, tortillas, flatbread, biscuits, rice, and noodles. It's pretty versatile.
