Pie Crust Mix
7 cups all-purpose flour 4 t. salt 2 cups of lard or 2 1/2 cups shortening
Mix flour and salt. Cut in lard or shortening until none of the pieces are bigger than a pea.
Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
To Make a Single Crust
1 1/2 cups Pie Crust Mix 2 - 3 T. ice water
Blend lightly with fork until mixture begins to form a dough.
To Make a Double Crust
2 1/2 cups Pie Crust Mix 4 - 6 T. ice water
Blend lightly with fork until mixture begins to form a dough.

Thats almost my crust. My ratio is 3 to 1. 1/3 cup lard to 1 cup flour. I'm goin to try yours tomorrow. I would really like to be able to do this once a week. We would have pie more often:)

Peggy, this is just the regular recipe from Betty Crocker. My book has different measures for lard and shortening.
