Bread Machine Master Mix contributed by gayla
13 cups bread flour, I use 1/2 white and 1/2 wheat 2 tablespoons of salt 1/2 cup of instant nonfat dry milk 1/2 cup sugar
Mix together and keep in a cool dry place, you should use this up within 2 months if you are using wheat flour, 6 months if you are using white flour
Large Loaf
2 tsp active dry yeast 3 1/3 cup of mix above 1 1/2 tbsp of butter or vegetable oil 1 1/4 warm water
Mix and bake on Light setting..
Variations:
Cinnamon Raisin - To basic recipe add 1/2 cup raisins and 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon. Glaze with Powdered sugar glaze while still warm.
French Bread - eliminate the butter, I use the knead only setting and bake this in the oven so I have a nice long loaf
Sweet Bread - Add 1 TBSP of sugar with dry ingredients. Break egg into measuring cup, fill cup with water to amount called for in recipe.
Herb Bread - add 1 1/2 teaspoons dry herbs of your choice Rosemary, basil, dill, etc.
