6 cups all purpose flour 4 teaspoons baking powder 4 teaspoons salt 8 cups sugar 1 (8oz) can unsweetened cocoa powder
In large bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt, sugar and cocoa. Stir with a wire whisk until evenly distributed. Put in a large airtight container. Label with date and contents. Store in a cool, dry place. Use within 10-12 weeks. Makes about 15 cups Brownie Mix.
Chewy Chocolate Cookies
Crown each one with a nut.
1/4 cup butter or margarine, melted 2 eggs, slightly beaten 1/4 cup water, more if needed 2 1/4 cups Brownie Mix ½ teaspoon baking soda 3/4 cup all-purpose flour 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Walnut or pecan halves
Preheat oven to 375. Grease baking sheets. Combine butter or margarine, eggs and water in a medium bowl. Beat with a fork until blended. Stir in Brownie Mix, baking soda, flour and vanilla. Add additional water if needed. Blend well.
Drop by teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart on prepared baking sheets. Put a walnut or pecan half in center of each cookie. Bake 10-12 minutes, until edges are browned. Cool. Makes 36 cookies
