I really like these. If I still have my colored pencils, I might use the stubby ones to make some. (I'm keeping the big ones) I think I'd drill the holes before cutting the beads, though. It would be easier to hold the whole pencil while drilling than each individual bead. www.designmom.com/2011/08/diy-colored-pencil-jewelry/I can see using slices of colored pencils for making mosaics, too.

Different for sure but too much work,you can get bags of beads at the Dollar Tree.I use my colored pencils for my study Bible works great and doesn't bleed through.

I like the pointy pencil necklace. I wonder if there's something you can do, though, to keep the points from breaking off.

Maybe if you dunked them in some kind of sealant (?) They'd probably need to be sealed anyway, to keep them from rubbing off on stuff.

and when you tire of their artistic value it would be possible to reassemble them using crazy glue and write with them !
