I just finished making a batch of daily shower cleaner and am testing it. It will take a few days to tell if it's working. If it works well, I'll post the recipe in the cookbook. I made it because I bought some for the first time last week and liked it. Problem was, one bottle didn't last a whole week. It wasn't really expensive, about $2, but that adds up. So, instead of buying more, I decided to try a recipe I found online. Even with a 'special' ingredient, it ended up costing about 50 cents a bottle. That's a significant savings. If it doesn't work, I'll use the rest of the 'special' ingredient in the dishwasher. Are you trying out anything new?

I made up the tub cleaner that everyone has been talking about .You mix 1 cup Dawn,1 cup vinegar together. This works really well,I was surprised. This cleaner done the job quickly and with out scrubbing.I froze some extra eggs . I don't know if I will like them because its been to hot for me to do much baking.Thats about it for me.

Oooh, I'm allergic to Dawn bad, so I don't think I'll be trying that one.

I am, too. This recipe doesn't call for it - at least not specifically Dawn.

I decided to try the idea of using hydrogen peroxide instead of color safe bleach. It works fine. I keep a little plastic cup on top of the bottle to measure it and I've used it right on stains and it works. I think 88 cents a bottle is a pretty good trade off instead of paying close to $9 for a bottle of Clorox II. Susan

I found a recipe for wrinkle releaser. It works GREAT! Mix one cup of water with one tsp fabric softener in a spray bottle.

Amazingly, I've never done a make ahead freezer meal before. Until Saturday. I made a casserole and it's in the freezer right now. We'll have it later this week.

Michelle, if you bake it in a glass casserole without thawing it first, be sure to start it in a cold oven so the casserole won't break.

Does Corningware count as glass?

It's not a big deal, Michelle. Just start it in a cold oven and leave it in a little longer than usual.
