Tahini
1 cup sesame seeds 1-2 T. olive oil (more, if needed)
Heat oven to 350 degrees. Spread sesame seeds out on a baking sheet and bake 8-10 minutes, stirring often. Do not brown.
Pour sesame seeds into food processor or blender. Add olive oil and process until smooth, adding more olive oil, if needed. Mixture should be thick, but thin enough to pour.
Pour into covered container and store in the refrigerator.
Makes about a cup.

Timely recipe sense there is a recall on Tahini right now.Will need to make some of this up.

I bought a can and it appeared to have sat on the shelf for a loooong time. It had separated and I never could figure out how to get it back together. The dry part was like wet cement and the oil would not mix back in. It might still be in my fridge or I mighta chucked it in frustration.

A blender might work. I don't know. I've always been able to stir it back in.
BTW, I've never seen it in a can. I've only seen it in jars.
