does anyone have any "crafty" ideas about possible uses for old slide projector carousel trays ?
best i can come up with is to dunk them in different colors of paint and mount on the side wall of a barn - for one of those "whut the hell is that, bubba?" artistic presentations - but that's pretty lame -

Seems like there should be some way to make them into a wind generator, but I can't think how.

I had another (similar) idea. If you can figure out how to use one to crank a generator, you might be able to use water for power, instead of Obama wind.

How about a mobile or a wind chime? Hanging light fixture?? i think they'll probably end up looking best arranged in a group inside a large black plastic bag out at the curb -

Are they the metal or plastic ones? If they're metal, you might get a few bucks selling them as scrap.

Plastic, eh? You've got those newfangled ones. The ones I have are the really old ones from when I was a kid. They're metal.
The really old ones from when I was a kid... that doesn't sound too good.

Dad loved all that high-tech stuff. We had a projector and screen as long as I can remember - the same projector I have now. When my sisters and I were teenagers, Mom loved to pull out those old slides and embarrass us in front of our boyfriends.
